The Sin of Withholding
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. (James 4:17 KJV Bible, Thomas Nelson (c) 2016) When we do what GOD tells us not to do, this is a sin of commission. When we fail to do what GOD says, this is a sin of omission. A certain ruler told JESUS that he had kept the commandments since his youth. JESUS told the ruler to sell his possessions, and give to the poor. The ruler went away grieved, because he was rich. (see Luke 18:18-27) People matter more than things. Let us hold loosely material wealth (things), and hold tightly the value of others, and meeting needs, as we are able, by GOD's grace and leading. Thank GOD for JESUS. Amen.
